Photo Fiction entry for 6/2/2013 “The Trap”
Less than 150 words for Alastair’s Photo Fiction*:
Bilko looked up at the light and back down at the rope dangling tauntingly in front of him. Climbing had never been his forte, but he knew in order to get out of the predicament he was in he would have to search deep inside himself to get out of it. If his greed hadn’t gotten the best of him he wouldn’t be in the trouble he currently found himself in. Bilko’s wife always told him this but he never would listen.
Knowing that a block of cheese (just sitting out in the open) was NEVER a good sign, he had gone for it any way. The trap was set off as soon as he had consumed it (he never was good at snatching and running-always had to eat the cheese where it sat). Now he would suffer the consequences. His belly was so full-even if he could find it inside himself to climb, could he lift this overindulgence?
